London pool tiling, planned down to the last delivery.
We repair, regrout and retile swimming pools across London: hotel and members' club pools, health clubs, pools under private houses, and mikvaot. The tiling is the same as anywhere else. What changes in London is how much has to be arranged before the first tile comes up.
In London, our pool work includes The Chelsea Harbour Hotel.
Tiling below ground
Plenty of pools in London sit below ground, beneath hotels, clubs and family homes. Every bag of adhesive and every broken tile goes through the building, often down a stair, and there may be no natural light or through-draught.
Ventilation matters more than people think. Adhesives and grouts cure according to temperature and humidity, and a sealed, damp basement can slow them right down. We agree how the space will be heated and ventilated during curing before we start, not halfway through.
Tiles that keep coming off in the same area, or damp patches around the shell, can point to a problem behind the tiling. If it is something for another specialist, such as a waterproofing contractor or a structural engineer, we will tell you.
What we sort out before arrival
- Parking, loading restrictions and congestion charging
- Building management rules and permitted working hours
- Where a skip or materials can go, and the route in
- Protection for finished rooms on the way to the pool
- Accommodation nearby so the team starts each morning on time
Mikveh tiling in London
London has large Jewish communities and many mikvaot. We have tiled many mikvaot over the years and keep that work private. Ritual requirements are for the community and its advisers. Our part is sound, watertight, well finished tiling.
Getting started
Send photos of the pool, the problem areas and the access route, with a note of when it was last regrouted or retiled. If you have spare tiles from the original installation, keep them safe. With a discontinued mosaic they can make a repair almost invisible.
Hotels and clubs usually have quieter weeks in the year. Naming yours early leaves room to inspect, order materials and fit curing into the closure.
Do you really work in London from Warrington?
Yes. We work across the whole of the UK. For London jobs we plan visits, travel and accommodation around the work, so the team is on site when it needs to be.
Can you work on a pool under a private house?
Yes. We agree access, protection for the house and how the space will be ventilated during curing before we start. The products get their full cure before the pool is refilled.
Do you tile mikvaot?
Yes, new and existing. We work alongside the community's own advisers on ritual requirements and keep the work private. Our mikveh tiling page has more detail.
Tell us about your pool.
Send a few details and we’ll get back to understand the job. Photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas are useful when you have them.
