Swimming pool cleaning: a deep clean that protects the finish.
Scale, staining and built-up residue make a pool look tired long before the tiles fail. We clean tiled pools with a method chosen for the actual contamination and the materials in your pool, then extract thoroughly so nothing is left behind in the joints.
The build-up that dulls a pool
Every pool collects something different. We look first, then choose the cleaner, the dilution and the agitation to suit what is actually there.
- Calcium scale and mineral deposits on tile faces and joints
- Rust marks, staining and discolouration
- Dirt and residue in grout lines, channels and corners
- Residue or haze left on tile faces
- Deposits around steps, edges and outlets
The right chemical clean for the job
Every chemical clean starts with what the job is. Taking out old grout ready for new joints, lifting calcium scale, shifting rust marks, cleaning a pool surround or giving the whole pool a general clean each call for a different product.
We use the correct chemical for that job, at the right dilution and contact time, so the dirt comes off without harming the existing grout or the tile finish. We check the tile and grout first, follow the product instructions and site safety requirements, and try a small test area before the full clean.
Cleaning before and after repairs
A drained-down clean is often the first step of a refurbishment: it shows the true condition of the tiles and grout so repairs can be scoped properly.
For new epoxy joints, cleaning is carried out within the product’s working window and with the wash method specified by its manufacturer, so the finished pool is handed back clean, full and even.
How do I get an accurate quote?
Tell us where the pool is, what needs attention and roughly how large the area is, with photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas if you have them. We assess the condition, explain the proposed work and quote the agreed scope before work begins.
How long will the pool be out of use?
It depends on the scope of work and the products used. We confirm the scope, materials, access and working areas in advance and build cure and refill times into the programme rather than skipping them to meet a date.
How do you clean a pool without damaging the finish?
We use the correct chemical clean for the job, whether that is removing old grout before regrouting, lifting calcium and rust marks, cleaning a pool surround or a general pool clean. We check the tile and grout first and try a small test area, so the clean does not harm the existing grout or the finish.
Tell us about your pool.
Send a few details and we’ll get back to you to understand the job. Photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas help us a lot, and you can add them below.
