Southampton pool tiling, done before the season starts.

We repair, regrout and retile swimming pools in Southampton and along the south coast for hotels, holiday parks, leisure operators, schools and private owners. For seasonal businesses the useful questions are which months the pool can close, and whether it is indoors or out.

Indoor or outdoor

The two follow different calendars

An indoor pool at a coastal hotel or holiday park can usually be worked on through the quieter months, as long as the pool hall can be kept warm and ventilated for curing.

An outdoor pool is different. Winter can be too cold for adhesives and grouts to cure properly, so outdoor work is usually better planned for spring, which leaves less margin before opening. Book early.

  • End of season: inspect and photograph the damage
  • Autumn: agree scope and order tiles
  • Quieter months: indoor works
  • Spring, in mild weather: outdoor works
Leisure pools

Mosaics, beach entries and colour bands

Holiday and leisure pools often have curved walls, beach entries, mosaic features and bright colour bands. Beach entries and shallow areas take the most traffic and are usually where grout and edge tiles go first.

Matching these finishes takes care. On some pools a planned replacement of one band or feature looks better than scattered patches, and some tiles take time to source, which is another reason to start early.

Southampton pools

The city has public leisure, school and university pools, hotels and health clubs. Along the coast and into the New Forest there are hotel and spa pools, holiday parks and private pools, indoors and out. If we uncover a hidden defect once tiles are lifted, you hear about it in time to make decisions before the season.

Pool work in Southampton: common questions

All questions
When should a holiday park book pool works?

Inspect near the end of the season and plan the works for the quieter months, leaving time for curing and refill before reopening.

Can you match the mosaic in our leisure pool?

Sometimes a close match can be found. If not, we can look at salvaging tiles from less visible areas or replacing a whole feature band.

Do you cover the south coast from Warrington?

Yes. We work across the whole of the UK and plan travel and accommodation around each job.
