Your pool is part of your home.
If you have an indoor pool at home in Wilmslow that needs tile repairs, regrouting or retiling, the job is as much about working inside a house as it is about the tiling. A home is not a leisure centre, and we plan for that from the first visit.
Tidy, protected and clearly planned
A pool room is often joined to living space, with good floors and furniture close by. Before we start, we agree access routes, where materials will be stored and how floors and doors will be protected.
Raking out grout and taking up tiles is dusty and noisy work. We tell you which stages are the worst and plan them with you.
- Agreed access and protection
- Clear explanation of each stage
- Small test areas before cleaning
- Regular updates if anything is found
- Full cure before refill
What home pools tend to need
Home pools are often lightly used but kept warm. Typical problems are tired or stained grout, a scale line at the waterline, the odd cracked or loose tile, and wear on steps and edges.
Some have mosaic or feature designs the owner wants to keep. We repair rather than replace where we can, and say plainly when retiling an area would serve the pool better.
The warm, humid air in a pool hall also works on the joints around the room, such as floor junctions and shower areas, so we check those while we are there.
Keep, repair or refresh the look
Works are often a chance to freshen the pool up as well as repair it. A regrout in a new colour, new edge tiles or a properly cleaned mosaic can change how a pool feels without a full retile.
We explain what is realistic and what would only be cosmetic. If the pool has deeper problems, such as widespread hollow tiles or movement, we tell you, because a fresh look over failing tiling will not last.
- Regrout in a new colour
- Renew edge and step tiles
- Deep clean and descale
- Targeted repair of mosaic panels
- Retile of a wall or floor where needed
Handforth, Styal and beyond
We take on private pools in Wilmslow and nearby, including Handforth, Styal, Prestbury and Alderley Edge, and health club and hotel pools in the area too.
Wilmslow is not far from our Warrington base, so inspection visits and follow-up checks are easy to arrange. The same team works on pools much further away, anywhere in the UK.
If you are not sure how urgent something is, a few photos of the area sent with the estimate form are a good place to start.
Do you need to drain my pool to repair tiles?
For most repairs and regrouting below the waterline, yes. We explain the whole sequence, including drying, curing and refilling, before anything starts.
Can you remove the scale line at the waterline of my Wilmslow pool?
Usually it can be reduced or removed with a method that suits your tiles and grout. We try a small patch first, because some descaling products can etch cement grout or damage certain finishes.
Will you protect our house during the works?
Yes. We agree access routes and protection with you before starting and keep the work area as contained as the job allows.
Tell us about your pool.
Send a few details and we’ll get back to you to understand the job. Photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas help us a lot, and you can add them below.
