Leicester pool tiling, including hydrotherapy pools.

We repair, regrout and refurbish swimming pools in Leicester, including hydrotherapy and other warm-water pools in schools, care homes and therapy settings. Those pools are often the hardest to close, because sessions are booked around individual people.

Therapy pools

Small pools with a lot going on

A hydrotherapy pool packs steps, ramps, handrails, seating and hoist access into a small space. Every fixing and change of level is somewhere grout can fail or a tile can lift, so that is where we look hardest on an inspection.

These pools often use small mosaics, coloured edge bands and contrast nosings to help people find their way. Keeping those features clear and intact is part of keeping the pool usable.

  • Steps, ramps and seating
  • Tiles around handrail fixings and the hoist position
  • Waterlines where scale builds up
  • Surrounds that stay wet for long periods

Warm water

Warmer water and the humidity around it ask more of grout, adhesive and sealant. The products have to be suited to the conditions and used as their makers say, and the pool is warmed back up gradually after refilling.

Working around pupils, residents and staff

We agree how the team signs in, where they will work, and how the area is kept apart from pupils, residents and staff. The inspection is booked to disturb sessions as little as possible.

Curing and refill times are not shortened, so if alternative sessions are needed, planning them early helps everyone.

Leicester pools

Alongside therapy pools, we take on public leisure pools, school and university pools, hotel and health club pools, and private pools across Leicestershire.

Pool work in Leicester: common questions

All questions
Do you work on hydrotherapy pools?

Yes. We plan the work around sessions and the needs of the people who use the pool.

Does a small pool take less time to repair?

Sometimes, but not always. Curing and refill times depend on the products and conditions, as much as the size of the pool. We set out a realistic programme once we have seen it.

What should staff report between visits?

Sharp edges, loose tiles or missing grout on steps and seating, straight away. People using therapy pools can be more vulnerable to cuts and slips.
