Birmingham pool tiling, from repairs to full retiles.

We repair, regrout, refurbish and retile swimming pools in Birmingham and across the West Midlands. The team travels down from Warrington and stays near the site for longer jobs, with the logistics agreed before the programme starts.

Birmingham pools

Birmingham and the wider West Midlands have hotel and conference pools, health club and gym pools, public leisure and school pools, and private pools in the suburbs and surrounding countryside. We take on repairs and regrouts as well as full renovations.

Retile or repair

Making the big decision

For many operators the real question is whether to keep repairing or to retile. That turns on how much of the pool has debonded, the state of the render, whether the tiles can still be matched, and what you want from the pool over the next few years.

We give a straight view after inspecting. Sometimes a retile is clearly right. Sometimes a careful repair and regrout will do, and we will say so even though it is the smaller job.

  • Extent of hollow or loose tiles
  • Condition of the render behind them
  • Whether matching tiles are still available
  • Planned changes, such as new lane markings or step edges
  • How long the pool can close
Logistics

Running the job

Programme, site access, storage and welfare are agreed up front, accommodation is booked near the site, and materials are ordered so the team can start on day one.

Where a building has more than one pool, or a pool and changing rooms, phasing can sometimes keep part of the facility open. We work to the agreed dates, but not by cutting cure or refill times.

Surrounds and changing rooms

A refurbishment is a good time to deal with surrounds, channels and changing rooms too. Doing them in the same programme avoids a second closure, and one team keeps the materials and standards consistent across every tiled wet area.

Pool work in Birmingham: common questions

All questions
Do you take on smaller repairs in Birmingham?

Yes. We work across the whole of the UK, and smaller repairs are sometimes grouped into one planned visit to make the travel worthwhile.

Should we retile our pool or keep repairing it?

It depends on the extent of debonding, the state of the background, tile availability and your plans for the pool. We inspect first and give you a straight answer.

Can part of our facility stay open during the works?

Sometimes. Where the layout allows, phasing can keep other areas open. We look at this when planning the programme.

Start with an estimate

Tell us about your pool.

Send a few details and we’ll get back to you to understand the job. Photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas help us a lot, and you can add them below.

We aim to reply within two working days.

What affects the estimate?

  • The pool area and which surfaces need work
  • Joint size and the grout or tiles involved
  • The condition of the tiles, joints and background
  • Access to the pool and the working areas
  • Preparation, cleaning and any repairs needed first
  • The programme and when the pool can close
