Sheffield pool tiling, including warm-water pools.

We repair, regrout and refurbish swimming pools in Sheffield and across South Yorkshire, including the smaller, warmer pools: spa pools, hydrotherapy pools and the like. For jobs that run over several days, the team stays locally.

The pools

Sheffield has public leisure pools, school and university pools, hotel and health club pools, and private pools in the western suburbs towards the Peak District. Like any large city it also has warm-water pools run by healthcare, care and wellbeing providers.

Changing rooms, showers and steam rooms that serve these pools can often be scoped at the same time.

Warm water

Why spa and hydrotherapy pools need extra thought

Warm-water pools run hotter than a typical swimming pool, and spa pools add jets, seating and lights. The heat, and the water treatment that goes with it, can be harder on grout and sealant. These pools are also small, heavily used and difficult to close.

So the products have to be rated for the conditions and used as their makers intend. After curing, the pool is refilled and brought up to temperature gradually rather than all at once.

  • Careful detailing around seats, jets and lights
  • Flexible sealant at movement joints and changes of plane
  • Gradual warm-up after the refill

What to tell us

For a spa or hydrotherapy pool, give us the operating temperature, the treatment regime, any areas that keep failing and how long the pool can realistically close. Where people rely on the pool for therapy, agree the closure early so other arrangements can be made.

If something hidden turns up once tiles are lifted, we tell you then and explain the options, and any change to the scope is agreed before it happens.

Pool work in Sheffield: common questions

All questions
Do you work on hydrotherapy pools?

Yes. We will want to know the pool's temperature, how it is used and how long it can close, so the materials and timings suit the conditions.

Can you tile spa seating and steps?

Yes. Seating, steps and the detail around jets and lights are slow, fiddly areas, so we scope them carefully.

Is Sheffield too far for a Warrington team?

No. We work across the whole of the UK. On jobs that last more than a day or two, the team stays near the site.

Start with an estimate

Tell us about your pool.

Send a few details and we’ll get back to you to understand the job. Photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas help us a lot, and you can add them below.

We aim to reply within two working days.

What affects the estimate?

  • The pool area and which surfaces need work
  • Joint size and the grout or tiles involved
  • The condition of the tiles, joints and background
  • Access to the pool and the working areas
  • Preparation, cleaning and any repairs needed first
  • The programme and when the pool can close
