Worcester pool cleaning and repairs, starting with a proper clean.

It is hard to judge tiles and grout through years of scale and staining. For many Worcester pools, a deep clean is the right first step. It improves the look straight away and shows us what actually needs repairing.

Why clean first

Seeing the real condition

Scale at the waterline, staining on the floor and dirt packed into joints can hide cracks, open grout and hollow tiles. Once the surface is clean, we can tap test and inspect properly, and the scope we agree is based on what is really there.

Sometimes a clean is all a pool needs for now. Other times it reveals more work than expected. Either way, you get an honest picture.

Where the water is hard, scale builds up quickly at the waterline and on steps. Removing it needs the right cleaning products and care, because aggressive methods can damage grout and glazes.

Around the city

Pools in and around Worcester

Worcester is a cathedral city on the River Severn, with the Malvern Hills to the south-west. Its pools include school and university pools, leisure and health club pools, hotel pools, and private pools in homes across Worcestershire.

Private owners often call us because the pool simply looks tired. In many cases a deep clean and a few repairs make a bigger difference than they expect, without the cost of a retile.

Changing rooms and walkways get dirty in the same way, and a clean there often shows tiles that have cracked or come loose underfoot. We can include them in the same visit if you want a full picture.

Repairs after cleaning

What usually follows

Once clean, we can repair loose tiles, regrout open joints and tidy up edges. Where several small jobs need doing, it often makes sense to plan them into the same drain down as the clean, so the pool only closes once.

After the clean and repairs, we can suggest simple habits for staff or owners that help keep the finish in good condition, such as watching the waterline and reporting open joints early.

Pool work in Worcester: common questions

All questions
Do we need to drain the pool for a deep clean?

Not for the pool surround, which can be deep cleaned without draining. Submerged tiles often stay in reasonably good condition, so cleaning inside the pool is usually carried out when it is drained for other planned works, which also allows the whole surface to be inspected.

Can you clean and repair in the same visit?

Often. If we know from photos what to expect, we can bring what is needed for small repairs.

Do you work on private pools around Worcester?

Yes. We work on home pools across Worcestershire as well as commercial pools.
