Pool repairs across the South West, from spa towns to the Cornish coast.

South West England covers a lot of ground, from the spa towns of Bath and Cheltenham to the holiday coast of Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. We repair, regroute and refurbish tiled pools right across it. Dan and Jay travel down from Warrington, look at each pool before pricing, and stay locally for longer jobs.

The region

A region of very different pools

In the cities, Bristol, Exeter and Plymouth among them, there are leisure centre pools, school and university pools, hotel pools and health clubs. Bath and Cheltenham add spa hotels and older buildings where any work has to respect the fabric around the pool.

Along the coast, holiday parks and hotels run pools that are packed in summer and quiet in winter. Inland, across Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Dorset, there are private pools in homes and country houses.

  • Leisure centre and lane pools
  • School, college and university pools
  • Hotel, spa and health club pools
  • Holiday park and holiday let pools
  • Private indoor and outdoor pools
  • Hydrotherapy pools

Working in older buildings

Some pools in the region sit inside listed or historic buildings, or in hotels that have been extended many times. Access can be awkward and the pool may carry repairs from several decades.

We take our time on the inspection in these places, noting which repairs are holding and which are not, so the scope is honest about what lies underneath. Spa hotels in Bath and Cheltenham often have steam rooms and spa pools alongside the main pool, and we can look at those on the same visit.

Seasons

Holiday coast timing

For a pool that earns its keep in summer, the work belongs in the closed season. Tell us your last and first booking dates and we will plan backwards from reopening, with the manufacturer's cure time built in before the refill.

Most repair work needs the pool drained, so we also agree with whoever runs the plant who drains it, when treatment restarts and how the refill will run.

Getting started

Photos, then a visit

Because the South West is a long way from our base, we ask for a good set of photos or a short video first. It does not replace an inspection and we do not quote from it, but it means the first visit can achieve far more. Wide shots from each end, close-ups of any loose or cracked tiles with something for scale, and a look at the steps and waterline are the most useful. If you still have spare original tiles or the old paperwork, include those too, as they help with matching.

Good to know

Pool work in South West England: common questions

All questions
Do you cover Cornwall and Devon from Warrington?

Yes. We work across the whole of the UK. For the far South West we plan travel and accommodation around the job and stay locally while the work is under way.

Can you work on pools in listed buildings?

Yes, on the tiled pool and surrounds. If the building has consent conditions, let us know early so the materials and methods we propose fit them.

When is the best time to refurbish a holiday park pool?

The closed season, usually late autumn to early spring. Book early, because that window is when most coastal pools want their work done.

Start with an estimate

Tell us about your pool.

Send a few details and we’ll get back to you to understand the job. Photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas help us a lot, and you can add them below.

Dan or Jay will be in touch within 24 hours.

What affects the estimate?

  • The pool area and which surfaces need work
  • Joint size and the grout or tiles involved
  • The condition of the tiles, joints and background
  • Access to the pool and the working areas
  • Preparation, cleaning and any repairs needed first
  • The programme and when the pool can close
