Pool refurbishment in Swindon, with the M4 on the doorstep.

Swindon sits right on the M4, between Bristol and London and close to the Cotswolds and the Wiltshire Downs. That makes it straightforward for us to reach from Warrington. We take on tile repairs, regrouting and full refurbishments for pools in the town and the villages around it.

Town and country

A growing town and its rural edge

Swindon grew up around the railway works and has kept growing, with large newer housing areas on its edges. In the town you will find leisure, school and health club pools. Out in the Wiltshire villages and towards the Cotswolds there are private indoor and outdoor pools in homes, and hotel pools in the countryside.

A community pool and a private garden pool have little in common beyond the tiles, so the advice we give depends on which one you have.

Choosing the work

Repair, regrout or retile?

Not every tired pool needs a full retile. If the tiles are sound but the grout has washed out, a regrout may be the right answer. If tiles are hollow in patches, targeted repairs may hold. If the bond has gone over wide areas, or the tiles are no longer made and cannot be matched, a retile can work out better in the long run.

We decide this on site, after tapping across the surfaces and looking closely at the joints, edges and steps. It cannot be judged from photos alone.

  • Regrouting, including epoxy grout, where tiles are still well bonded
  • Targeted tile replacement in hollow or damaged areas
  • Partial retiles of steps, floors or waterline bands
  • Full retiles where repairs would only patch a wider failure
Matching tiles

Keep any spare tiles

If there are boxes of the original tiles in a store or plant room, keep them. Matching older pool tiles exactly can be hard, and spares make a repair far less noticeable. If there are none, we can talk through close matches or a deliberate contrast band.

Labels, invoices or the name of the original installer can also help us track down the tile range, or at least its size and finish. Pass on whatever you have when you first get in touch.

Pool work in Swindon: common questions

All questions
How quickly can you get to Swindon?

It is an easy run down the motorways from Warrington. The start date depends on our diary and your closure window rather than the distance.

Do you cover the Wiltshire villages around Swindon?

Yes. We work on private and commercial pools across Wiltshire and the edge of the Cotswolds as well as in the town.

Will you quote from photos?

No. Photos help us understand the job, but we inspect the pool before giving a price.

Start with an estimate

Tell us about your pool.

Send a few details and we’ll get back to you to understand the job. Photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas help us a lot, and you can add them below.

Dan or Jay will be in touch within 24 hours.

What affects the estimate?

  • The pool area and which surfaces need work
  • Joint size and the grout or tiles involved
  • The condition of the tiles, joints and background
  • Access to the pool and the working areas
  • Preparation, cleaning and any repairs needed first
  • The programme and when the pool can close
