Bradford pool repairs, untangling years of patch work.
Some of the pools around Bradford have been patched many times, by different hands and with different materials. Before we add another repair, we work out which earlier fixes are still sound and which are holding the next problem back. Then we put forward a scope that makes sense for how long you want the pool to last.
In Bradford, the team’s experience before PoolRevive includes Bowling Pool. Dan and his dad worked on it as self-employed subcontractors, before PoolRevive was formed.
Reading the history in the tiles
A pool that has been open for decades often shows its past. Odd tiles of a slightly different shade, grout in two or three colours and filled cracks along the floor all tell us something about where movement or bond failure has happened before.
We map those areas before suggesting anything. A patch that has failed twice in the same spot is rarely bad luck, so we look at the bed, the movement joints and the background behind it rather than simply replacing the tiles again.
Hilly ground and older construction can also mean some movement in the structure. Where cracks in the floor tiles follow a line, we look at whether a movement joint is missing or has been tiled over.
From the city centre to Wharfedale
The Bradford district runs well beyond the city itself, out to Shipley, Bingley, Keighley and Ilkley. Alongside public leisure and school pools there are health club pools and private indoor pools in homes in the Aire and Wharfe valleys.
We take on all of them. A school teaching pool and a private pool in a converted barn wear in very different ways, so we ask how each one is used and heated before we plan the work.

Repair, regrout or start again
Sometimes a careful set of targeted repairs and an epoxy regrout will give an older pool many more years. Sometimes there have been so many failures that a full retile is the more sensible spend. We explain what we found and why we lean one way, and the decision stays with you.
If you still have boxes of the original tiles, tell us. Spare stock makes matching far easier on a pool that has already seen a few colour changes.
Our team’s previous pool experience
Previous projects: carried out by Dan and his dad as self-employed subcontractors, before PoolRevive was formed. About our experience
Our pool has been repaired many times. Is it worth repairing again?
It can be. We check whether the earlier repairs are sound and why the failures happened. If the cause can be dealt with, repairs often make sense. If not, we will say so.
Do you cover Keighley and Ilkley as well as Bradford itself?
Yes. We work right across the district and the rest of Yorkshire, travelling over from our base in Warrington.
Can you match tiles on a pool with several different shades already?
We try to source the closest match, and spare original tiles help a great deal. Where an exact match is not possible, we talk through where new tiles will sit so they are least noticeable.
Tell us about your pool.
Send a few details and we’ll get back to you to understand the job. Photos of the tiles, grout and problem areas help us a lot, and you can add them below.
